In 2014, I completed my Bachelor of Arts from the Virtual University of Pakistan, with a dual focus on Computer Science and Journalism. This interdisciplinary program provided me with a robust foundation in two critical and complementary fields. The Computer Science component equipped me with technical skills in programming, data analysis, and information systems, essential for navigating and succeeding in today’s technology-driven world. On the other hand, the Journalism aspect honed my abilities in communication, critical thinking, and media literacy, enabling me to craft compelling narratives and understand the ethical dimensions of media and information dissemination.
The Virtual University of Pakistan, known for its innovative online education platform, allowed me to engage with a diverse community of learners and instructors from across the country. This unique learning environment fostered a sense of independence and self-motivation, as I balanced rigorous coursework with practical projects and collaborative assignments. The dual specialization has not only broadened my career prospects but also enriched my understanding of how technology and media intersect, preparing me to contribute effectively in roles that demand both technical expertise and strong communication skills.
